Chris Inclenrock

Creative Director

Chris joined Recreation as Creative Director in early 2018, bringing with him over 20 years of design and creative direction experience, working in both client-side and agency environments. Chris brings a rich history of building and redesigning brands from concept to completion. His expertise is bringing those brands to life in the digital space.

A native Michiganian, Chris traveled west in the late 90s to find new opportunities in an emerging creative environment. Starting at Nintendo in Seattle, then to the SF Bay Area where he honed his craft in digital design, brand design and illustration for Lucasfilm and Francis Ford Coppola. Following that he moved to the agency world to work with great brands such as Adobe, Pearson, Microsoft, Clorox, Chevron and Google.

Scott Burke

Managing Director

Strategic and insightful creative professional with 17 years of experience spanning advertising, branding, account planning, strategy, research and business development. Having worked client-side for IBM, Macquarie Bank, and Vision Australia; and agency side, Sydney native Scott brings a well-rounded approach to marketing, brand building and strategic communications.

Working with clients such as Chevron, Clorox, Verb Surgical, Johnson & Johnson, Insightec, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Abbott, American Airlines, Deloitte, VMware, Eat24, ShoreTel, Westport, Jackson National Life and Tyra Banks; Scott has honed skills that are applicable in consumer, B2B, DTC, P2P and a slew of other impressive acronyms.

When not at Recreation, you can find him searching the coastlines of the world for offshore swells, warm climes and cool beers.

Brigham Stitt

Director of Video + Motion

Brigham is a graphic designer and video producer with over 15 years of experience creating media for a wide range of applications. His background includes forming and managing Ubisoft San Francisco’s video production department, personally creating thousands of hours of original content and overseeing all US production demands; as well as years spent as an independent contractor for medical, mobile and music industry clients.

With experience on both the creative and management sides of production, Brigham brings a unique perspective that allows him to find innovative, high-quality solutions to meet the needs of any project.

C Todd Ransick

President + Chief Creative

Todd has spent over two decades in the design, branding, and advertising space. Before launching Recreation in 2013, he founded the San Francisco based strategic brand consultancy Mortar in 2002 where he worked on many brands including Ariba, Opscode, Reno Tahoe Tourism, Boyd Gaming,  Carondolet Health Systems, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Intersect ENT and Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Earlier in his career while at Omnicom’s Bernard Hodes, Austin Knight, and TMP Worldwide he produced award winning work for companies including: Aetna, Accenture, General Electric, J.Crew, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Lockheed Martin, Panasonic, W Hotels, Westin Hotels, Sheraton Hotels and the United States Air Force Reserve.

As a pioneer in medtech and life sciences brand design and storytelling, he can be credited with changing the way an entire industry approaches marketing communications.

Our History

Recreation founders Todd Ransick and JD Simpson met in Sun Valley, Idaho in 2008, while producing a short film on Silicon Valley’s medical innovations. Over the next four years, Todd and JD collaborated together to design, create, and execute game changing branding initiatives for a medical device startup. In 2013, the partnership officially became Recreation.

Since then, we’ve maintained the philosophy that partnership is at the core of success. We actively listen to each and every idea, concern, and nuance, because we understand that every brand has a unique story to tell. And it’s our privilege to boundlessly explore and experiment until we find the most expressive, meaningful and impactful way to tell that story.
