Recreation, a leading marketing, brand strategy, and creative development agency with a focus on Med-Tech, Healthcare, and Life Sciences, is in search of an ambitious and self-motivated Account Executive to join our growing San Francisco team. We are open to this role being remote only for top talent candidates; remote candidates must reside within the continental U.S. Recreation is a full service agency, and projects will range from Marketing Strategy, Brand Strategy, Video & Motion, and Creative Storytelling across all channels.
As an Account Executive, you will play an integral role as the liaison between the client and our Recreation team to ensure project planning, execution and goals are met on a daily basis. You will partner closely with the Brand Director, Marketing Director, and Creative Director to help shape and drive clients’ initiatives and keep internal teams accountable for their clients’ deliverables.
This role requires a strong eye for detail and exceptional project management skills in order to work cross-departmentally on strategic marketing initiatives to ensure that clients’ needs, timelines, and budgets are met.
Work as part of the Recreation team, to help clients translate their marketing strategy and goals into concrete plans, tactics and deliverables to realize client objectives.
Lead and manage client project initiatives from kickoff through completion - including, but not limited to: strategy, project management, resourcing, production planning, quality assurance, budgeting/billing.
Gather and organize necessary materials and information into briefs and/or proposals that include project details, project milestones, achievable deadlines and expectations, as well as final project deliverables for both internal and external use.
Keep Recreation and client teams informed and up-to-date on project needs, deliverables, accomplishments and deadlines.
Create and nurture relationships with clients - provide support and proactive direction to help them execute in the now as well as see the big picture to ensure their continued successes.
Works as part of the Recreation team to go beyond the immediate deliverables or project to discover new insights and initiatives on behalf of the client, to further drive their objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
3–5 years of experience in project management or account management, ideally in a marketing, creative, or agency environment.
Experience in highly technical or regulated industries such as med-tech or healthcare/pharma are highly desirable
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Highly organized, mindful of timelines and budgets, able to multi-task and work under limited supervision in fast-paced, growing, and evolving environment
Solid understanding of marketing strategy, creative processes, and digital channels.
Significant problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
Strong work ethic and professional presence with a track record of following through on internal team and client requests and with deliverables on schedule and on budget
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a client-first mindset
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Notion, Asana, Trello, Monday) and Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
MedTech, Healthcare, and Life Sciences experience a plus
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and/or Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
