Recreation, a leading marketing, brand strategy, and creative development agency with a focus on Med-Tech, Healthcare, and Life Sciences, is in search of an ambitious and self-motivated Account Executive to join our growing San Francisco team. We are open to this role being remote only for top talent candidates; remote candidates must reside within the continental U.S. Recreation is a full service agency, and projects will range from Marketing Strategy, Brand Strategy, Video & Motion, and Creative Storytelling across all channels.

Position Overview:
Recreation is seeking a dynamic, versatile Marketing & Account Manager to lead strategic client accounts while actively managing day-to-day project execution. This hybrid role is designed for a marketing professional who thrives at both the big-picture strategic level and the hands-on delivery level — shaping client marketing strategies, managing multi-channel campaigns, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects across brand, creative, and video teams.

This position is ideal for someone who combines account leadership, strategic marketing insight, and strong project management discipline — and who can confidently engage with senior client stakeholders while driving internal teams toward high-quality, on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Account Leadership & Client Partnership
  • Act as the primary client contact, understanding their business goals, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Build trusted client relationships, providing strategic counsel, uncovering new opportunities, and positioning Recreation as a valuable long-term partner.
  • Lead client marketing initiatives from strategy to execution, aligning internal teams to deliver on client objectives.
  • Provide proactive client communication, keeping stakeholders informed, engaged, and confident in project progress.
Marketing STrategy & Execution
  • Develop integrated marketing strategies that align with client goals, target audiences, and market insights.
  • Oversee content development, creative campaigns, video and motion projects, and brand activations across digital and traditional channels.
  • Analyze market trends and campaign performance, offering data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal strategy, creative, and production leads to ensure consistent, high-quality brand execution.
Project &. Operations Manager
  • Lead the day-to-day management of projects, from kickoff to delivery, ensuring clear timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Prepare project briefs, scopes, and resource plans, ensuring all teams are aligned and equipped for success.
  • Track project progress using project management tools, proactively resolving issues and managing risks.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations, brand standards, and quality benchmarks.
Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing best practices and providing guidance on client service, marketing strategy, and project management.
  • Support operational improvements that enhance team efficiency, communication, and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of combined experience in marketing, account management, or project management roles, preferably within an agency or client services environment.
  • Strong strategic marketing capabilities with experience designing and delivering multi-channel campaigns.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, budgets, and timelines concurrently.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with a talent for building trust and aligning stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Clear, confident communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Notion, Asana, Monday, Trello) and MS Office or Google Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • MedTech, Healthcare, and Life Sciences experience a plus.
